My Journey
I started my journey on a traditional path, just about to enter medical school, until a summer internship turned into a full-time role at hedge fund Waterford Partners, LLC, and changed everything. That opportunity revealed qualities I hadn’t yet tapped into—drive, confidence, and a passion for learning. While there I worked in marketing, client services, and investment analysis. Eventually, I left there to join our largest investor, Hillview Capital Advisors, LLC, where I spent 11 years as Director of Investment Services and later Director of Marketing. There, I launched a client education program that enriched and strengthened the relationships between the firm and the families we served. Externally, I was Executive Director of The Wealth & Giving Forum, an organization focused on educating wealth holders on responsible philanthropy and social impact. Our symposiums showcased notable guest speakers such as William Louis Dreyfus, Emmanuel Faber, and Howard Warren Buffet.
My evolution from a medical school prospect to a wealth management professional and advisor underscores the power of transformation. By challenging assumptions and reimagining personal narratives, I discovered new opportunities, broke through self-imposed
boundaries, and built a career—and life—rooted in purpose and fulfillment.
In 2015, I launched my consulting practice (Ijeoma Consulting, LLC), leveraging my experience in wealth management, marketing, and business strategy to advise entrepreneurs and business leaders.
With extensive travel and cultural exposure, I’ve developed a global presence that supports professionals across various geographies, including the US, UK, and Nigeria. My engagements demonstrate an ability to move seamlessly between different ecosystems and milieus while maintaining a unique authenticity in my approach to supporting clients.
Today, I continue to support innovators and game-changers on a personal level, helping them build their visions and achieve their goals with the added service of coaching. I offer a co-creative relationship that provides clarity, illuminates opportunities, and reveals hidden value within each individual. My clients rely on me as a thought partner to provide a safe environment for meaningful, generative dialogue that drives the actions to support their vision.
